The luncheon took on a very different format from previous award luncheons. Instead of having a dais Karen Cadle sat down one-on-one with Richard for an intimate interview spanning his youth and Hollywood Career.Richard is best known for his performances in Centennial, Shogun, The Thorn Birds and his appearance as the leading man in King Solomon’s Mines opposite newcomer Sharon Stone.

Engelbert HumperdinckSeptember 20, 2019: Hollywood Media Professionals honored Engelbert Humperdinck as an International Star Entertainer. On the dais were Jo Anne Worley, Paula Salvatore, James Darren, Johnny Dark, Gustavo Borner, Ron Alexenburg and "Shotgun Tom" Kelly.Engelbert's career spanned nearly 50 years and generated sales of over 140 million records, including 64 gold albums and 23 platinum, four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe, and stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Las Vegas Walk of Fame. He performed for the Queen of England four times and many heads of state. He's recorded everything from the most romantic ballads to movie theme songs, disco, rock, and even gospel.

Fritz ColemanJune 14, 2019: Fritz Coleman was honored with the Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award for his many distinguished years as a “TV Icon Weatherman and Comic Entertainer” at the Airtel Hotel in Van Nuys. The dais included David Sheehan, Tim Conway, Jr., Steve Carlston and Fritz’s on-air colleagues Chuck Henry and Colleen Williams.Herman Rush was presented with the PPB Diamond Circle Award by Chuck Street for his extensive work in television.

Mike LoveMay 17, 2019: Grammy Winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member for more than fifty years, Mike Love was honored today with the Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award for his many distinguished years of Excellence as an Entertainer and Legendary Songwriter/Singer by Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters. Mike has been the lead singer and front man of The Beach Boys and has co-authored more than a dozen Top 10 Singles. Art LaboeFebruary 1, 2019: Radio veteran and music legend, Art Laboe, who coined and trademarked the phrase "Oldies But Goodies," is the latest recipient of the "Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award" presented by Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters. The award was announced in honor of Art's outstanding work in radio broadcasting and was held at the beautiful Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys, CA. In addition, Art was presented an updated framed version of his "Hollywood Star" by Shotgun Tom Kelly after the dais paid tribute to him. Art originally received his Hollywood Walk of Fame Star on July 17, 1981.In September 2018, at a youthful 93 years of age, Art celebrated 75 years on air as an active radio performer. This marks the longest continuous period of broadcasting service by and individual to date. The dais included: Linda Gray his co-star on "Dallas", Bill Bickley the creator of "Step by Step", his son Padraic Duffy, his son Conor Duffy, Mike Robin Executive Producer of "Major Crimes" and Suzanne Somers his co-star in "Step by Step."

Loni AndersonLoni Anderson received the Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award for her many distinguished years as an actress, activist, and best selling author. The award was presented by Allen Perris at the Sportsmen's Lodge on Friday, June 1, 2018.Loni Anderson is best known for her role as the "sexy-yet-smartest-person-in-the-room receptionist" Jennifer Marlowe on the CBS hit series WKRP in Cincinnati. She received multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations during the show's run from 1978-1982.The dais included Kate Edelman Johnson, Deidre Hall, Dierdre Hoffman (Loni's daughter), Lorna Luft and Bruce Vilanch with his alter ego Edna Turnblad.

Donna MillsFebruary 9, 2018: Donna was awarded the "Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award" presented by Chuck Street. Donna is probably best known for her starring role on Knott's Landing, the longest-running primetime drama in the US. By special arrangement, Johnny Mathis, Grammy-winning jazz vocalist, stopped in to surprise Diane Schuur during lunch.The dais included: James Lee Ryan, Jolie Keyser, Joan Van Ark, Michele Lee, David Jacobs and Dennie Gordon. Al Michaels June 16, 2017: Al Michaels was the honored recipient of the "Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award" presented by Alan Perris.Al is one of the most renowned sports broadcasters of all time. The Associated Press calls him "TV's best play-by-play announcer." He is starting his 12th season on NBC's Sunday Night Football, extending his record 32 years as the voice of the NFL in prime time. The dais included: Vin Scully, Bob Miller, Joe Cohen, Rich Eisen and Chuck Henry.

Marilyn McCoo, Billy Davis, Jr.May 19, 2017: Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. were presented the "Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award" by Alan Perris at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City. Marilyn is known for her hit "Up, Up, and Away," "One Less Bell to Answer," and the medley "Aquarius.Let the Sunshine In." Mary hosted ET for 29 years, 1982-2011, and was a pioneer broadcaster for entertainment newscasts.The Dais included: supermodel Cindy Crawford, former ET executive producer Linda Bell Blue, former ET colleague Leeza Gibbons, current ET co-host Kevin Frazier, political consultant and Fox News analyst Frank Luntz and comedy writer Roberta Kent.

Regis PhilbinNovember 18, 2016: The infamous Regis Philbin was honored with the "Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award" by Alan Perris for his work as an entertaining storyteller and TV icon.Regis holds the Guinness World Record for the most hours on US TV. To date, at the age of 85, he has nearly 17,000 hours in front of the camera. The Dais included: Tom Battista, AM Los Angeles co-host Sarah Purcell, "CHiPs" producer Rick Roser, producer/ director Larry Einhorn, producer Steve Ober, and former president of ABC-TV John Severino.

Frankie ValliOctober 6, 2017: Frankie Valli was presented the "Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award" by Alan Perris for his long and prominent career as a singer.Frankie was best known for his work with the Four Seasons and such songs as: "Big Girls Don't Cry," Walk Like A Man," "Rag Doll," and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." The Four Seasons sold more than 100 million records and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.On the Dais: Wink Martindale, Kenny Nolan, Jim Gosnell, Richie Palmer, Bruce Charet, Robby Robinson and Joey Reynolds.
